Many songs, books, and movies focus on love and romance, but what happens when they become one's only source for learning? Jaya Montague used to love romantic movies, especially Twilight. But recently, she decided that she needed to find better sources if she wanted to end up with her own fairy tale. Here is her quest to find answers. Philly Youth Radio seeks to provide high school students with the tools and training to create their own radio stories -- and the opportunity to share them on a larger stage. Under the supervision of professional audio producers, youth radio apprentices engage in intensive radio production workshops to produce stories about issues important to them and their communities. Participants gain experience in story pitching, interviewing, field recording, script-writing, digital editing and voicing. In 2013, three youth radio apprentices created "At the Heart, From the Heart," a series of stories about the love and relationships in their lives.
